THE TASTIEST MEXICAN FOOD IN LYON

WE TESTED: MASA'S TAQUERIA DE AND THEIR DIVINE MEXICAN TACOS.

La Taqueria de Masa, under its small snack bar appearance, offers us a warm welcome with a smile and small attentions. The order is made at the counter and the service at the table. It is also possible to have lunch on the terrace on Rue du Palais Grillet.

An opportunity to note that this street has been transformed in recent years. After the expansion of the sidewalks and the restriction of vehicles, it has become one of the most pleasant alleys of the peninsula.

CUSTOM-MADE JOURNEY

The boss, who is passionate about Mexico, has created a small and very attractive card. Absolutely everything makes you want to eat. We carefully review the starters to share, the 4 taco recipes, and the mango-dorado ceviche…

I managed to skip the guagamole nachos (which I systematically taste at every South American address). That lunchtime, it's too hot for an excess of delicacy. We'll come back for the aperitif and slide the deal with a cocktail.

OUR TACOS COME TO THE TABLE

The filled corn cakes are presented in small baskets. It's cute, colourful and makes a very appetizing dinette. The time needed to take these few pictures seems terribly long.

I attack El Señor Pastor: a taste of madness and hyper addictive!

It is made of simmered and shredded pork belly and loin, garnished with diced pineapple and cheese. Very fatty, with its slightly spicy sauce that drips everywhere, it is eaten without cutlery to get your fingers full of it.

In Señor Cabild we find crumbled cod, avocado and a slightly spicy mayonnaise. It is very fresh, tasty and perfect for a light lunch.

The seasoning is right, not too hot, but you can spice it up with the little sauces available. All tacos are accompanied by a small salsa of fresh tomatoes and a plate of rice at will

We're really hungrier, but it's impossible to resist when we list the desserts. We'll end this Mexican parenthesis with a tiramisu with notes of fresh and light cinnamon.

A spicy taste, an irreproachable welcome, correct prices and fast service. It's perfect for a change from the traditional bakery sandwiches!

We'll be back to test the new taco recipes that regularly enrich the menu, but also for the tequila cocktails and the evening atmosphere!
